Nobility crown Stefanis ValfrèOriundi da Montelupo, e passati poi in Brà, si nobilitarono con Eugenio (deced. 1745), di Giovanni, che fu dottore di leggi, e che il 19 aprile 1743 fu investito di punti di Montaldo Roero per ragioni della moglie Anna Valfrè. Da costui nacque Carlo (n. 1712; deced. 20 aprile 1786) che acquistò il 6 novembre 1749 (Assenso 17 ottobre 1749) punti di Cella, di cui fu investito con titolo signorile il 25 novembre 1749 e successivamente col titolo comitale il 25 marzo 1772. Ultimo di questa famiglia fu Antonio (n. Brà, 1767; deced. Torino, 4 giugno 1844), che fu maggior generale. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano coi titoli di conte di Cella (mpr.), signore di Montaldo Roero (mpr.), in persona dei discendenti da Carlo Giuseppe (1772). La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata. Infatti l'origine del motto risale ...
