Famiglia originaria da Guastalla. Giulio, nato nel 1643, fu creato marchese assieme ai discendenti maschi e femmine dal duca di Parma Francesco Farnese con LL. PP. del 27 gennaio 1696. Dalla contessa Zibramonti Violante ebbe, nel 1679, Giambattista, che sposò nel 1704 Angelica Suarez, da cui nacque Giulio (1713). Questi sposò Clara Magnoni, da cui ebbe Giambattista (1742), che dalla contessa Laura Garimberti ebbe Francesco (1782), che impalmò la marchesa Barbara Malaspina (1800). Questi coprì la carica di ciambellano di corte di Maria Luigia, nel 1816 e di suo consigliere di Stato onorario nel 1825, mentre la moglie era dama di palazzo.
