Ben presto assunsero a notorietà e coprirono, nella nuova patria, le principali cariche nella magistratura e parteggiando per i guelfi. Devotissimi alla Repubblica Veneta ebbero da questa incarichi onorevolissimi e quando Venezia fu travagliata dall'aspra lotta cogli Estensi e cogli Sforza, a Bartolino de Gregori fu affidata la custodia e la difesa di Crema.
