Antica e notabile famiglia lombarda, originaria dello storico territorio della Martesana, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. I primi riferimenti storici alla famiglia si rinvengono nel '600, con un nucleo insediato in Gessate. Altri nuclei trovasi poi in Truccazzano ed in Cassano d'Adda.
