Nobility crown TricioCon arreglo a muy breves y confusos datos, este apellido es riojano y originario de la villa de Tricio (cuyo nombre tomara), del partido judicial de Nájera (Logroño). Según otras noticias, también deficientes y confusas, procede de Vizcaya. Nace esa duda de los escasos informes que contiene la Real provisión de vizcainía que obtuvo, el 16 de Noviembre de 1807, doña Catalina T., de la que no se dice dónde nació. Unicamente se consigna que había casado con Martín de Lasuen, natural de la anteiglesia de Bérriz o Vérriz, del partido judicial de Durango (Vizcaya) y avecindado en la villa de Laguna, que suponemos era la también riojana de Laguna de Cameros (del partido de Torrecilla de Cameros) donde celebró su matrimonio con la citada doña Catalina de T., dejando al morir dos hijos menores de edad, por lo que litió la madre representándolos. Estos incompletos datos inclinan a suponer que doña Catalina era riojana, que la villa en que efectuó su enlace con Martín de Lasuen fué la de Laguna de Cameros, donde entonces residía, y que su apellido T. se derivó de la villa del mismo nombre. En apoyo de este lógico razonamiento agregamos que ninguno de los genealogistas vascos que hemos consultado incluyen el apellido T. entre los netamente vizcaínos. ...
