Nobility crown VásquezApellido noble asturiano. Procede del valle de Proaca, en el lugar de Prada, cercano a Gijón, desde donde se extendió por toda la Península. Una rama pasó a América. Alvaro Vásquez de Nava, Conquistador de Granada, de la Casa del Gran Maestre Don Alonso de Cárdenas, vivió en Jerez de los Caballeros, reinando en Castilla Isabel la Católica. Casó con Doña Fancisca Rodríguez Reales, hija de Ruy González Reales, de la noble familia de su apellido en Extremadura, y fue su hijo: Alonso Vásquez de Nava, nacido en Jerez de los Caballeros (Badajoz) que acompañó a su padre en las guerras de Granada, estableciéndose en Tenerife el año 1525, veintinueve años después de conquistada la isla. Fue Capitán de Infantería de la gente de Guerra y Síndico Personero general en 1532. Hizo informaciones de sus notorias Nobleza e Hidalguía, ante el Gobernador Diego González de Gallegos y Antón de Vallejo, escribano mayor de Cabildo, siendo amparado como caballero noble Hijoldago, en auto de 9 de noviembre de 1537. Contrajo matrimonio en La Laguna el año 1532, con Doña Beatriz de la Guerra, poseedora en parte del Valle de Guerra en Tenerife y tuvieron nueve hijos, siguiendo la línea el primogénito. Alvaro Vásquez de Nava, Regidor Perpetuo de Tenerife en 1560, que casó en La Laguna con Doña Juana Jovel de Carmenatis, en la que tuvo cinco hijos. Probó su nobleza en las Ordenes Militares de Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara, Montesa, Carlos III y San de Jerusalén. Una familia de este apellido (cuyo origen no es vasco), moró en San Miguel de Aedo y en Biañes, del Valle de Carranza y partido de Valmaseda (Vizcaya). Diego Vásquez tuvo en su esposa, doña Florentina López, a Francisco Vásquez y López que casó con doña Ana Bringas, y fueron padres de Pedro Vásquez Bringas, bautizado en San Andrés de Biañes el 3 de Junio de 1714, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Josefa Hernáiz, y de esta unión nació José Vásquez Hernáiz, bautizado en San Andrés de Biañes el 3 de Junio de 1753, que casó con otra doña Josefa Hernáiz, a la que ...
