Nobility crown ValantinyExcellente bourgeoisie d'Allègre où elle possédait, au début du XVème siècle, un domaine important qui a donné son nom à un faubourg de cette ville. Catherine, sœur de feu messire Yves, prêtre de l'église d'Allègre, plaidait en 1484, pour l'hèritage de domaines sis dans la mouvance de la baronnie d'Allègre. Branches à Craponne et au Puy. Antoine, notaire, frère de Vital, était établi de 1490 à 1511 à Craponne. On lui connaît trois fils: 1° François, curé de Craponne, chanoine du Puy et abbé de St-Vosy; 2° Pierre, consul de Craponne en 1592-1608-1622, bailli de Chalencon (1607), dont le petit-fils Noël, mar. vers 1630 à Antoinette Cordoan, dame d'Antreux, fut la tige de la branche de ce nom qui a entre autres fourni: Benoît, sgr. de Frédeville, conseiller du roi, maire perpétuel de Craponne, mort en 1709 et qui s'est éteinte le 20 juin 1774, avec Antoine, sgr. d'Antreux, mar. le 11 fév. 1724 à Jeanne-Marie de Vinols; 3° Jacques, notaire (1526-1569), bailli de Chalenconet greffier en 1531 du bailliage de Velay. Benoît, son fils, notaire, greffier en 1558 des États du Velay, deuxième consul du Puy (1566), épousa Valence de Torrenc (fille de Bertrand, cadet de sgrs. de Lignon) d'où deux filles, l'une d'elles, Marguerite, alliée le 30 sept. 1567 à Jean Bertrand, seigneur d'Ours, Pleyne, Chanteloube et Massibran, juge mage et lieutenant général du Velay. A un rameau collateral appartenaient: Jacques II, deuxième consul du Puy (1599), peint en robe rouge avec ses collègues, sur le tableau votif conservé au musée religieux de Notre Dame. Un prévôt de l'église du Puy (1584) et plusieurs chanoines de Notre Dame; deux abbés de St-Vosy (1620-1639); un prieur de Polignac (1584); plusieurs curés de Craponne; divers consuls du Puy aux XVIIème et XVIII ème siècles. ...
