Ha goduto nobiltà, in varie città di Spagna, in Pisa, Firenze e Lucera. Il ramo di Lucera si estinse in Caterina maritata nella famiglia Candida nel 1559. Un ramo passò in Firenze nel 1540. Ha goduto l'ordine del Toson d'oro. Fu ricevuta nell'ordine di Malta nel 1554. Edificò in Alcantara il nobile convento di Santo Spirito.
