En Cataluña, además de los Desvalls, que primitivamente se denominaron V., hay varias casas con este apellido. Jaime y Onofre V. constan matriculados como ciudadanos honrados de Barcelona, en 1 de mayo de 1578. Pascasio V. obtuvo privilegio de caballero del principado de Cataluña, dado en Barcelona, por el conde de Aitona, el 21 de febrero de 1581. Jaime V., de Vic, consiguió también privilegio militar, sin voto en Cortes, dado por Felipe II, en Barcelona, el 19 de septiembre de 1582, y con dicho voto, por otro privilegio dado en la misma capital, el 10 de enero de 1583, por don Carlos de Aragón, y fue confirmado a su hijo Jaime V., en Barcelona, el 8 de julio de 1599, por Felipe III. Bautista-Domingo V., de Lérida, consiguió privilegio de Ciudadano Honrado de Lérida, dado por Felipe IV, en Madrid, 8 de junio de 1623, con la condición de que no ejerciera de notario. Jerónimo V., de Agramunt (Lérida), obtuvo privilegio de Caballero del Principado, dado por Carlos II y la reina-gobernadora Mariana de Austria, en Madrid, el 16 de junio de 1673. Una casa establecida en Cervera (Lérida), se denominó V. de Antillón o V.-Freixa, y a ella perteneció Bruno de V.-Freixa y de Torres, natural de Cervera, señor del Castellnou y de Cisquella, casado con Francisca- María de Torres y de Sabater. ...
