Nobility crown ValottaAntica famiglia bergamasca, passata in Brescia, verso il 1510. In Bergamo vi sono memorie assai antiche sopra individui di questo cognome, forse derivato, dopo evidente corruzione, dal nome della Valolta; ma una genealogia sicura non potrebbe risalire oltre la fine del secolo XIV, epoca nella quale viveva un Valotto, di Giovanni, col fratello Franchino, giudice di città. Da Valotto sarebbe nato Domenco, padre di Francesco e avo di Pietro, armigero, come dicevasi, il quale si trasferì in Brescia, parrocchia di S. Faustino, col figlio Marino, mentre un altro figlio Giovanni, canonico, rimaneva in Bergamo. Da Marino nacque Domencio e da questi Pietro (n. 1603), il quale, arricchitosi con la mercatura, ottenne nel 1635 la cittadinanza bresciana. Dalla moglie Florida Moroni ebbe Francesco (n. 1635), che sposò Decia Foresti da cui Pietro e Gio.
