Nobility crown VentoEsta familia fue patricia de la antigua República de Génova. Aparece en la Gomera desde comienzos del siglo XVII, enlazando con las principales familias de la isla, con asiento en la villa de Agulo. Gonzalo Hernández B., fue Regidor del Cabildo de la Gomera y estuvo casado con María de Armas Vera en 1653. Su filiación continuada con varonía por parte del los Maya, de los que hubo en Tenerife dos conquistadores, de nombre Diego y Pedro, es como sigue: Juan de Maya, casado con María de Espinal, dió vida a Francisco Hernándes Maya, que contrajo matrimonio en la villa-capital de San Sebastían de la Gomera en 1623, con María Francisca, hija del Capitán Marcos B. y de su mujer Ana Francisca. Se avecindaron en Chipude y tuvieron a: Gonzalo Hernández B. Regidor del Cabildo de la Gomera que casó con María de Armas, era en 1653, hija del capitán Manuel de Armas y de María de Vera. Tuvieron, entre otros hijos a: Francisco B., que casó en el valle de Hermigua con Doña Cristina Manrique de Lara en 1690. Sigue la línea Juan B. y Manrique, vecino de Hermigua que contrajo matrimonio con Doña Josefa de Mora en 1721. Tuvieron a Antonio de Armas B., que casó en Hermigua en 1747 con Doña Francisca Manrique y Salazar. Su único hijo: Pedro B. y Manrique, fue esposo de Doña Antonia Peraza y Manrique, hija del Teniente de Capitán Don Ciriaco Peraza de Ayala y de Doña Antonia Manrique. ...
