Nobility crown VerdetTrès ancienne chevalerie forézienne qui a fourni plusieurs personnages illustres. Faucon, chevalier, était seigneur de Fauris et cosgr. de Savignieu près Montbrison, le 6 août 1247; Marquise, veuve d'autre Faucon, damoiseau, tutrice de Marguerite et de Falcon III, leurs enfants, en 1285 et 1291. Celui-ci, qualifié damoiseau, rendit hommage le 18 janvier 1338 de ce qu'il possédait à St-Bonnet-le-Château. On trouve aussi en 1322 et 1333, Arthaud, chevalier, seigneur du Mas de Laval, de la Roche, de rentes nobles à St-Bonnet-le-Château, etc. et Dalmas, damoiseau, seigneur de Chazelles-sur-Lavieu. Isabelle, dite de Chanaleilles (Chenereilles), damoiselle, vivait en 1361. Ploton, chevalier, rend hommage le 19 septembre 1378 de sa maison de St-Bonnet-le-Château et de ses rentes nobles de la Tourelle, Magnieu, St-Germain-Laval. Aimé, seigneur de Chenereilles, Veauche, etc. fils d'autre Amé (ou Amédée), dit le Vieux, fut créé chevalier en 1406, capitaine-châtelain de St-Bonnet-le-Château (1408), bailli de Forez (1414-1452) et mourut le 20 janvier 1479, laissant Marie de Chenereilles, dame de Veauche, héritière de cette branche, marié en 1446 à Arthaud de St-Germain d'Apchon, baron de Montrond. Une autre branche de cette maison, dite des seigneuries de Condrieu et de Valprivas, séparée dès le XIVème siècle, s'est éteinte en 1393 avec Agnès, dame de Valprivas, etc. (confins du Forez-Velay), marié à Jean de Thélis. ...
