Nobility crown VereNoblesse à l'origine, qui dérogea par le négoce, et passa dans l'ordre de la bourgeoisie du Puy. On trouve son nom diversement écrit Vera, Vere et De La Vere. Jean est cité, les 28 mars et 19 décembre 1185, parmi les témoins de la vente consentie par Durand de Montagnac et Jourdaine sa femme, Jean de Chalencon, commandeur de l'hôpital St-Jean de Jérusalem du Puy. Guillaume fut témoin dans un acte de 1186, intéressant la même commanderie. Hugues, frère hospitalier de St-Jean de Jérusalem, assiste le 24 novembre 1246, à la vente faite par le seigneur de Bouzols à Raynaud de Lapte, commandeur de Devesset. Noble Guillaume chevalier, consent le 23 juin 1282, une obligation à la collégiale St-Georges du Puy. Ogerie est dite veuve d'Etienne, du Puy, le 7 septembre 1285 et Aigline Largier, veuve de Jacques en 1305. Pierre, marchand drapier du Puy, vivait en 1316 et 1328; Guillaume, citoyen du Puy en 1345. Jean testa le 12 août 1348. Pierre, bailli de la Cour commune de cette ville en 1360 et 1374, possédait, dès 1359, des terres nobles relevant du seigneur de Solignac. Jean, bourgeois du Puy, fait une donation à collégiale de St-Georges, le 4 août 1393. Noble Pierre est qualifié seigneur d'Ours en 1458. Isabelle Faure en était veuve avant 1471 et probablement mère de noble Godefroy de la Vère, seigneur d'Ours, qui avait pour tuteur Guillaume en 1464. Jean est dit marchand du Puy en 1499 et Gaspard, consul de cette ville en 1513. ...
