Nobility crown VillanésEl rey Don Enrique II hizo merced del importante condado de Ribadeo, sito en Galicia, a Mosen Per de V., como lo espresa López de Haro: "Entre los muchos caballeros estrangeros que a este príncipe acudieron y ayudaron, haciéndole grandes servicios y dándole consejos de mucha consideracion para alcanzar la corona de estos reinos de Castilla y Leon, fué el de mas cuenta y méritos Mosen Per de V., caballero generoso, de nacion francesa, a quien el rey Don Enrique honró con mano muy liberal y larga, en memoria y remuneracion de sus contínuos servicios, haciéndole conde de Ribadeo, en el reino de Galicia, heredándole en sus reinos, con cuyo título le hallo por confirmador en el privilegio que este serenísimo príncipe dió año de 1371 a Don Juan De Castilla su sobrino, señor de Aguilar y Castañeda, hijo del conde Don Tello su hermano... de quien hay larga memoria en la crónica del rey Don Pedro, año diez y ocho, y en la del rey Don Enrique, año quinto. Hallo haber cesado el título de conde de Ribadeo en Mosen Per de V., y la causa de esto pudo ser por la falta de sucesion, o por haber vendido su estado, como lo habian hecho otros caballeros que con el rey Don Enrique pasaron a estos reinos, y fueron heredados en ellos, por su real mano y larga munificencia. Al conde Moser Per de V. sucedió en el condado de Ribadeo, el condestable Don Ruy López Dávalos, y á él sucedió Don Rodrigo de Villandrando..." Son sus armas: De sable y un jeuron de oro, acompañado de tres luceros del mismo metal. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia V., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales.
