Nobility crown ViscaAntica ed assai nobile famiglia piemontese, originaria di Chieri ma con residenze anche in Primeglio ed Ovada, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La chiara nobiltà di questa casata risulta confermata dalla sua presenza in alcune delle più pregevoli opere d'araldica europee, quali: il "Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane estinte e fiorenti" del genealogista ed araldista G.B. di Crollalanza ed "Il Patriziato Subalpino" dello storico Antonio Manno. La famiglia Visca è stata fregiata dei seguenti titoli: conti di Tonengo, signori di Piazzo e consignori di Ceresole. Essa ha anche fatto prova di quarto nei processi di Malta: Maggiolini (1665) e Ponte (1664, 1697). Il primo personaggio storicamente conosciuto è un Matteo, notaio, il quale fu padre di Innocenzo Visca, dottore in leggi, il quale sposò (1555) Giovannina Robbo.
