Noblesse chevaleresque qui remonte à Reymond, damoiseau, seigneur de Vissaguet en 1351, marié à Muréze Blanc, dite de Fix, dame de Pouzols et de Lagnac, fille de noble Reymond. Vital, écuyer, seigneur du dit lieu près Langeac, fut compris à l'armorial de 1470. Henri était archer de la chevalerie du baron d'Allégre en 1467. Noble Pierre, qui transige en 1511, est compris en 1523 dans le rôle des nobles du duché d'Auvergne. Antoine, Cosme et Jean furent convoqués au ban de la même province en 1543. Cosme, marié à Louise de Coisse, était possessionné à Arlanc dès 1528. Deux branches. A celle restée en Velay appartenaient: noble Antoine de Vissaguet, père en 1543 de noble Claude (1576) et Olive, marié vers 1550 à Jean de Poinsac, seigneur du dit lieu. Autre Cosme est qualifié écuyer, seigneur du dit lieu près Langeac, le premier août 1587 et Suzanne est dite religieuse noble dans le couvent et chapitre de La Vaudieu, le 31 mau 1669. La branche d'Arlanc était représentée en 1543 par noble Jean et noble Cosme parrain en 1554 de Marie de Coisse et inscrit au terrier de Monts en 1552. Noble Louis, demeurant à Arlanc, marié le 3 janvier 1563 à Marie Bardon, laissa noble Guillaume seigneur de la Chomette (1613), allié avant 1618 à Louise de la Colombe. Il fut témoin, le 27 novembre 1618, du mariage de son beau- frère Jacques de la Colombe avec Charlotte de Pélacot. ...
