Nobility crown VocanceNoblesse des Boutières. Antoine, homme d'armes de la chevalerie de M. de la Valette, obtint en janvier 1588, pour beaux services militaires, des lettres d'anoblissement du roi Henri III, confirmées le 20 juin 1605. Il épousa, le 13 mars 1583, Madeleine de Gruel et n'en ayant pas eu d'enfant, se remaria le 31 juillet 1593, à Geneviève de Fontgarnaud. Leur postérité noblement aliée, maintenue en Languedoc le 18 janvier 1669, a produit: des officiers d'infanterie et de cavalerie, divers chevaliers de St-Louis et s'est divisée en plusieurs branches répandeus en Vivarais et Velay. L'une d'elles, dite de la Tour, a pour auteur: noble Antoine-David de Vocance, seigneur de la Tour-en-Boutières, marié le 13 août 1663, à Jeanne de Poinsac (fille de Claude, baron de Poinsac, Servissas, Ancette, le Béage, etc., et de Thérèse de Beauvoir). Leur petit-fils, François-Scipion-Laurent de Vocance, chevalier, seigneur de la Tour, etc., allié le 17 juin 1714, à Françoise de Sibleyras, hérita, en 1750, de son cousin Jacques, baron de Poinsac, Servissas, Ancette, Pralas, etc., et fut le père de: 1° Claude-Bernardin, baron de Poinsac, mort après avoir vendu cette terre en 1767, à Jacques de Veyrac de Maisonseule; 2° de Françoise, dame de la Tour, mariée à Denis de Marquet. ...
