Originati dallo stesso ceppo dei Sarmatorio, assunsero il nome di Bollero verso la fine del XII secolo per distinguersi dagli altri rami che si erano distaccati dal ceppo comune. Furono feudatari di Salmore, ed il 13 Giu. 1247 fecero omaggio di fedeltà al Comune di Fossano, obbligandosi di abitare nella città. Con istromento del 6 Gen. 1251 il podestà di Fossano rimise di nuovo ed investì del sud. feudo Bollerio e Giacomo suo figlio e Semalgherio suo fratello, a patto però che lo tengano e custodiscano a nome ed a vantaggio del Comune di Fossano. I loro discendenti ottennero di Abbandonare questa città, ed ebbero poscia il feudo di Centallo su cui acquistarono signoria, e più tardi vuolsi che abbiano posto domicilio in Savigliano. Furono visconti di Demonte e marchesi di Centallo. ...
