Noble linaje de Asturias. Su solar en el Concejo de Pravia. Sus líneas radicaron principalmente en los lugares de la feligresía o parroquia de San Martín de Luiña, perteneciente al Ayuntamiento de Cudillero. Una de ellas, por entroncamiento con el linaje Suárez, también asturiano, se apellida Suárez de A. Otra línea muy principal, de la que a continuación nos ocuparemos con algún detenimiento, efectuó alianza con la casa Rodríguez, de la citada feligresía, y se apellida Rodríguez de A., título, Marqueses de Altamira. Alonso de A., natural de San Cosme, casó con su prima doña María de A., de igual naturaleza, y tuvieron por hijo a Juan de A., bautizado en el lugar de Fontoria, de la feligresía de San Martín de Luiña, el 2 de Agosto de 1634. Este caballero casó en dicho lugar el 2 de Junio de 1655, también con una prima suya llamada doña Catalina de A. Suárez, bautizada en Fontoria el 3 de Enero de 1641 (hija de Alonso de A., natural de San Cosme y de doña María Suárez), y de esa unión nació María de A. y A., que contrajo matrimonio en la citada parroquia de San Martín de Luiña, el 12 de Mayo de 1685, con Alonso Rodríguez del Padrón y Miranda, bautizado en Fontoria el 16 de Febrero de 1663. Este Alonso era hijo de Juan Rodríguez del Padrón, bautizado en el mismo lugar el 22 de Mayo de 1634, donde también casó el 4 de Julio de 1655 con doña Catalina de Miranda y González del Busto (hija de Fernando Miranda, natural de Veiciella). ...
