Nobility crown AmorínLa casa solar infanzonada de la esclarecida familia de A. existió en el reino de Galicia, cerca de Túy, en la hoy parroquia de A., perteneciente al Ayuntamiento de Tomiño. Una rama del solar de A. se extendió por Portugal y emparentó con casas muy principales de aquel reino, distinguiéndose en el servicio de sus Soberanos D. Alonso A. y su hijo D. Pedro A. Casó este último con doña Gotina Cris, y ambos contribuyeron a la fundación del Monasterio de Manente. En España floreció el apellido A. desde tiempos muy antiguos. El año de 1212 se señalaron por su valentía en la célebre batalla de las Navas de Tolosa, Diego, García y Juan A. Este Juan A. acompañó después al Rey Don Fernando III el Santo en la conquista de Sevilla, donde tuvo rico repartimiento con que le premió Don Alfonso X el Sabio, sucesor de San Fernanndo. Casó dicho Juan en Sevilla, y fué tronco de varias ramas de este linaje que se extendieron por Andalucía, y realizaron, con el tiempo, nuevos entronques con otras familias de Castilla y de aquella región. Lope Díaz A. y Gonzalo A., descendientes de los conquistadores de Jaén, ocuparon lugar preeminente en la corte del Rey Sancho IV. Don Gonzalo emparentó con la gran casa de lor Riveras por su casamiento con doña Juana de Rivera y Velasco, de la familia de los Adelantados de Andalucía. García Gómes de A. murío peleando en la batalla de Aljubarrota. Otra rama dimanada del solar primitivo de A. radicó en Salvatierra de Miño (Pontevedra). ...
