Tambíen es muy antiguo en la merindad y villa de Busturia, del mismo partido judicial. Las primitivas armas del linaje, según el Doctor Labayru, fueron: De gules, con un castillo de plata con dos matorrales de sinople a los lados. Bordura de plata, con cinco estrellas de azur. En Busturia: De oro, con una torre de piedra, almenada, con un pretil, a cuyo pie corren aguas de azur y plata. Bordura de gules con ocho veneras de plata. En el timbre lleva este escudo la siguiente leyenda: "Aunque del agua es batida la fuerte torre almenada, no pierde A. de fuerza nada ni jamás se vió vencida". En Bermeo: De gules, y en punta, ondas de agua de azur y plata. Bordura de este metal, con cinco estrellas de azur.
