Linaje de Valencia, donde floreció desde su reconquista por el rey don Jaime I. Distinguióse en ella, por lo que le premió dicho monarca, Pedro de A. o Arbuixech. Este caballero fue mayordomo del infante don Fernando, y obtuvo un gran heredamiento en la villa de Onteniente, de la que procedieron ilustres ramas, que se extendieron por el valle de Albaida y Ribera de San Felipe. De una de ellas fue Gaspar Blas Arbuixech, natural de la villa de Onteniente, vicerrector de la Universidad de Valencia, beneficiado de la Metropolitana y presbítero de la Real Congregación de San Felipe. Fue trasladado su cadáver, después de solemnísimas honras en Valencia, en las que predicó la oración fúnebre el arcediano don Juan Bautista Ballester, de Onteniente, siendo sepultado en la iglesia parroquial y colocado un retrato suyo, de medio cuerpo, en la sacristía, por los muchos favores que hizo a la iglesia. De la misma rama de los Arbuixech, de Onteniente, fueron: Sor Ana Arbuixech, religiosa dominica, que murió en olor de santidad, y mosén Garpar de Arbuixech que fue armado caballero por el emperador Carlos V, por privilegio dado en Barcelona en 22 de abril de 1527. ...
