E' un ramo della famiglia ascritta al patriziato veneto nel 1685, tuttora fiorente a Firenze e con la quale ha comune l'origine. Famiglia nobile antichissima, ebbe molte ricchezze e diede uomini eminenti nelle armi e nella vita pubblica. Primo fra tutti va segnalato Guidolino che nell'anno 1240 fu fatto morire fra atroci tormenti da Ezzelino, per aver tentato di liberare la sua patria dalla tirannia. Questa famiglia da remoto tempo era aggregata al Consiglio nobile di Vicenza. Il sommo Ponteficie Gregorio XV, con Breve 15 giugno 1623, creò conte palatino e del Sacro Palazzo Lateranense Fabio coi suoi discendenti. Il titolo venne riconosciuto dalla Repubblica Veneta con decreto 16 settembre1729, che lo fece trascrivere nell'A.L.T. Le Sovrane Risoluzioni Austriache I marzo 1820 e 13 aprile 1829 confermarono i titoli di nobile mf. e di conte palatino m., ad Enea, Fabio e Girolamo Luigi, di Bernardo.
