Gli antichi Baldricchi non sono da considerarsi con gli altri omonimi originari di Milano e trapiantati in Bologna nel XVII secolo. Jacopo Baldricchi, celebre Dott. in leggi e Lettore nello studio bolognese, fu creato nel 1229 Pretore di Genova; un altro Jacopo fu pure Dott. in leggi e nel 1280 dato con altri di nobili famiglie in ostaggio al Papa per accertarlo che i Bolognesi non rinnoverebbero le lotte cittadine. I Baldricchi possedevano molte terre nel comune di Zola. Altro ramo. L'Imperatore Federico III, con diploma 17 Luglio 1478, creò nobile dell'Impero, conte palatino e cavaliere aurato ereditario, previa conferma dell'antica nobiltà di sua famiglia, il dott.
