Nobility crown BranchierBonne bourgeoisie de Paulhaguet. Filiation suivie depuis Jehan marié vers 1565 à Anthonia Crozet. Le membre le plus marquant de cette famille est Dom Jacques, prieur-mage de l'abbaye de Pébrac et curé de Langeac, auteur de la Vie des Saintes et Saintes d'Auvergne, ouvrage imprimé en 1652 et fort précieux pour l'histoire de nos anciens oratoires et lieux de pélerinage. Maurice, né le 16 mars 1703, successivement curé de la Chaise-Dieu, de Paulhaguet et de Lempdes, devint aumônier du chapitre de Brioude. Jean-Antoine était chanoine du chapitre d'Ennezat et chapelain de la reine Marie-Antoinette en 1789. Des notaires royaux de Paulhaguet, dont Jean-Antoine bailli de Vissac, Domeyrat, Chavaniac et Flaghac, membre des Assemblées provinciales d'Auvergne (1787-1803); plusieurs chirugiens; un député du Tiers-État à l'Assemblée constituante pour la sénéchaussée de riom (1789); des chevaliers de l'ordre du Lys et de la Légion d'honneur; un savant érudit: Dominique (1815-1887), inspecteur-conservateur des monuments historiques du département de la Hte-Loire, auteur de l'Auvergne au moyen âge, ouvrage qu'il laissa malheureusement inachevé. ...
