Nel 1587 erano ancora bottegai con fondaco di droghe sul corso di Porta Romana. Galeazzo nel 1681 fu fatto Conte coi fratelli dall'Elettore di Baviera, ma questo diploma non fu confermato. Fiorirono di questa casa un sergente maggiore e due canonici ordinari del Duomo, di cui uno fu poi fatto Vescovo di Como nel 1739. Si estinsero nel XVIII secolo, e ne furono eredi i Recalcati ed i Lurani. Questi ultimi ànno aggiunto al proprio il cognome di Cernuschi. A questa famiglia ha appartenuto il titolo di Conte, titolo che solevasi dagli imperatori a coloro che erano al loro fianco.
