Chì non è informato delle mutazioni dello stato, e governo, alle quali è soggiaciuta la Republica Fiorentina, non puol dare giudizio delle famiglie, le quali realmente sono nobili, e della primaria nobiltà; e a prima vista quella famiglia,che non mostra quell'apparato de' priori, e Confalonieri, disteso ne' Prioristi, che sono le Tratte di questa Città, non pare, che questi l'intelletto d'un'huomo ben purificato; e però nacque qualche bisbiglio nel consiglio de' Cavalieri della Sacra, e Illustrissima Religione di S. Stefano ...
