Continuathe confirmation of the entire fief of Pecetto, with the title of Lord, and of the fief of S. Stefano Belbo, with the title of Marquis; Gaspare Giuseppe obtained the same recognition in 1835. His son, Alfonso (1822-1876), was a prominent physician and a renowned farmer. Among his sons, Luigi (1823-1888) ran through the diplomatic career and became ambassador in very important offices: he was foreign minister in 1878, Senator of the Kingdom and represented Italy at the Berlin Congress. The brother of the above-named Gaspare Giuseppe, Francesco (n. 1803), Lieutenant Marshal, was created Count with sovereign resolution November 18, 1850. Other branch. Noble family of Voghera, known since the fifteenth century. Other branch. Noble family of Como. Pietro-Antonio became Knight of Malta in 1595. Giuseppe, in 1787, obtained by I.R. heraldic Court of Lombardy that his family was declared noble. Family names so old, without any doubt honor not only families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious members.
