Nobility crown Delgado-TrinidadApellido canario radicado en el valle de Güimar (Tenerife), cuyo origen se remonta por rigurosa línea, al último soberano guanche de Adeje, llamado Pelinor, que fue bautizado con el nombre de Diego D. o Díaz, a quien los Reyes Católicos a trevés del Adelantado Fernández de Lugo, concedieron el título de "Don" y su correspondiente escudo de armas. Este escudo fue el primero que se concedía a un noble guanche en la isla de Tenerife, según documento fechado el 5 de octubre de 1503. Francisco de Ibaute y Bárbara de Llarena y Lugo, fueron padres de Margarita de Llarena, que casó con el Capitán Juan Delgado de Adeje, dando vida a: El Alférez Don Juan D.-Trinidad y González, tataranieto de Juan D. de Adeje, que casó con Doña Anastasia Hernández de Olives y Díaz. Se celebró en enlace en la Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol, de Güimar, el 10 de mayo de 1716 y fueron padres de: Don José D.-Trinidad y Oliva, Capitán de las Milicias Insulares, que celebró nupcias el 26 de julio de 1746, con Doña María Hernández de la Rosa y Ramos. De este enlace nacieron diecisiete hijos, marcando un record de natalidad en el Valle de Güimar. De ellos casaron siete: El Capitán Don José D.-Trinidad y de la Rosa, con Doña María de la Concepción Lugo y Melo, el 22 de febrero de 1789, siendo progenitores de: Don José Domingo D.-Trinidad y Lugo, que nació en Güimar el 11 de abril de 1791, esposo de Doña María Josefa O'Shea y Saviñón, cuya única hija. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia D., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento león , que es la más noble de las figuras junto con el águila, significa que el origen familiar es muy antiguo o del Reino de León o de Inglaterra, generalmente podríamos pensar que los poseedores de tal símbolo estaban emparentados de alguna forma con la realeza.
