On rencontre plusieurs personnages sous ce nom: Guillaume, fils de Thomas, originaire de Lohéac, secrétaire du duc Jean V; anobli par lettres du 12 juillet 1442 et sa maison, paroisse de Saint André des Eaux, évêché de Dol, franchie, laissa de Jeanne Sorel: 1° Thomas, auteur de la branche du Bouëxie, éteinte en 1784; et de la branche des marquis de Trèambert, qui existe encore; 2° Pierre, trésorier de Bretagne, procureur des bourgeois de Rennes en 1490, auteur de la branche du Boisbasset, éteinte, et de celles de Penhoët et du Brossay qui existent encore; 3° Charles, élu à Chinon en 1492; secrétaire du Roi à la grade chancellerie en 1515, auteur de la branche de Quévilly en Normandie, fondue dans Montmorency. Cette maison a produit un président aux enquêtes en 1652; cinq premiers présidents aux comptes, depuis 1678; deux chevaliers de Malte, depuis 1715; deux présidents à mortier au parlement de Rouen, depuis 1681; quatre pages du Roi, depuis 1715, deux brigadiers de cavalerie, depuis 1780; un évêque de Nimes en 1738 mort en 1781 et un commandant de l'armée pontificale à Castelfidardo en 1860. ...
