Tomó el linaje del segundo nombre de la citada villa y sus caballeros fundaron nuevas casas en la ciudad de Lérida, y en el lugar del Poal del partido judicial de Balaguer, en la misma provincia. Fueron los D. señores del citado lugar del Poal y caballeros del hábito de San Juan, en el Gran Priorato de Cataluña. En 1554 ingresó en esta Orden Francisco D. Sors Iborra y Passanant.
