Nobility crown DesballsNoble apellido de Cataluña, con antiguo solar en la villa de Sant Jordi D. (o San Jordi dels Valls), del partido judicial de Gerona. Tomó el linaje del segundo nombre de la citada villa y sus caballeros fundaron nuevas casas en la ciudad de Lérida, y en el lugar del Poal del partido judicial de Balaguer, en la misma provincia. Fueron los D. señores del citado lugar del Poal y caballeros del hábito de San Juan, en el Gran Priorato de Cataluña. En 1554 ingresó en esta Orden Francisco D. Sors Iborra y Passanant. También ostentaron los títulos nobiliarios que se indican a continuación: Juan Bautista D., de la casa de Lérida, casó con doña Cecilia Castellbell y fueron padres de Antonio D. Castellbell, Señor de Poal, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Inés Vergás, naciendo de este enlace Juan D. y Vergás, bautizado en Poal el 25 de Febrero de 1667 y caballero de la Orden de San Juan en 1686; y Antonio D. y Vergás, que sigue. Este Antonio D. y Vergás fué Señor de Poal y casó con doña Antonia de Alegre, de la que tuvo a Francisco D. y Alegre, Señor de Poal, que efectuó su enlace con doña María Manuela Ardena y Lupiá (hija de Francisco Ardena, Barón de Albi, y de su segunda mujer doña Petronila Lupiá, de la casa de los Marqueses de Lupiá), naciendo de esa unión Juan Antonio D. Ardena Alegre y Lupiá, que sigue; Manuel D. Ardena Alegre y Lupiá, bautizado en la iglesia de San Jaime, de Barcelona, el 16 de Diciembre de 1743 y fallecido el 8 de Marzo de 1805; y José María D. ...
