Famiglia milanese assai antica ed illustre, che ha memorie agli inizi del sec. XV con un Giovanni, decurione in Milano nel 1408. Fu questi padre di Bartolomeo, dottor fisico, che generò, a sua voltam Ambrogio (dec. 1522), anche questi dottor fisico, fu archiatra del duca Gian Galeazzo, che lo investì del feudo della Pieve di Rosate, con titolo comitale trasmissibile a tutti i maschi in infinito; titolo che nel 1515 fu confermato da Massimiliano Sforza. Da Ambrogio nacque Marcantonio (dec. 1529), che fu decurione, questore del Magistrato Straordinario e nel 1519 eletto senatore. Questi generò Pietro Antonio, membro del Tribunale di Provvisione e capitano egli eserciti di Carlo V; un suo fratello Lodovico fu decurione in Milano ed il figlio Niccolò morì di peste nel 1576.
