Afonso Henriques, com quem esteve em Ourique e noutras batalhas, e de sua mulher D. Gontinha ou Guiomar Mendes, filha de Mem Moniz de Riba de Douro e de sua mulher D. Urraca Mendes de Sousa, Este D. Godinho, que herdara a casa paterna e acrescentara muito o mosteiro de Fonte Arcada, era filho de D. F. Luz, que passou a Portugal com o Conde D. Henrique, de quem foi alferes-mor e rico-homem, ajudando-o em todas as suas batalhas, e de D. Frolhe Viegas, sua mulher, filha de D. Egas Pais de Penagate, que lhe levou em dote as quintas e torres de Vasconcelos, Ornelas e outras, situadas no conelho de Entre Homem e Cávado. D. F. Luz era filho de D. Godinho F., fundador do mosteiro de Fonte Arcada, na terra de Lanhoso, antes do ano de 1082, contemporâneo de D. Afonso VI de Leão e sucessor de seu pai D. F. Sarrazim de Lanhoso, rico-homem, que sucedeu a seu pai no castelo e terras de Lanhoso, das quais foi Conde. Morreu este D. F. na batalha de Águas de Maias, servindo o Rei D.
