Nobility crown FerragudAunque este linaje esté considerado como catalán por la generalidad de los tratadistas, era aragonés el primero de sus caballeros de quien se tiene noticia cierta. Llamóse Pedro F. y había nacido en Jaca. de esta ciudad salió, según los autorizados testimonios de Febrer, Bover y otros autores, para acompañar al rey aragonés don Jaime I en las conquistas de Mallorca y de Valencia. En la de Mallorca ganó el grado de sargento, con el que pasó a la de Valencia, en la que ganó renombre de experto capitán por el estrago que hizo entre los moros. Años después de la aparición de ese caballero en la historia, surgen bien determinadas las ramas de este linaje en Mallorca, Cataluña y Valencia. Agustín F. fue canónigo de Palma, teólogo y protector de la Casa de Arrepentidas de dicha ciudad. Murió en 1576. Pablo F. fue historiador y topógrafo. El capitán Antonio F. y Cánaves, después de haber luchado heroicamente con la guerras de Felipe IV, murió soltero y legó su hacienda al colegio de Lluch. El padre Gonzalo F., religioso dominico, natural de Pollensa, poseyó diversas lenguas y asistió a varios capítulos generales de su Orden. En 1827 fue propuesto para el obispado de Urgell y en 1831 para el de Ibiza. Murió el 23 de octubre de 1843. La rama de esta familia radicada en la Puebla, tenía ya en 1249 casa y hacienda muy considerable. Los F. catalanes tuvieron casa en la ciudad de Barcelona y los valencianos fueron señores de las aldeas de Toba y Bellos. ...
