Nobility crown FerrouTrès illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Guillaume donne quittance à Orléans en 1371, du payement de ses gages et de ceux de trente écuyers de sa compagnie; Louis épouse vers 1400 Philippotte Bodin; un chevalier de l'ordre en 1563; trois conseillers au parlement depuis 1692; un lieutenant-général en 1731 et six maréchaux de camp depuis 1743, dont le dernier pair de France et ministre des affaires étrangères en 1828; un évêque de Saint-Brieuc en 1770, transféré à Bayonne en 1775 et à Lizieux en 1783, mort en 1799. Quatre membres admis aux honneurs de la cour de 1752 à 1783. A une autre branche de cette famille se rattachaient: Alain, ratifie le traité de Guérande en 1381 et épouse Anne de Vauferrier; il servit comme écuyer sous le connétable de Clisson, qui lui légua par testament un cheval et deux cents livres en 1406 ; Guillaume, évêque de Léon, mort à Rome en 1472; un président aux comptes en 1628; un conseiller au parlement en 1760.
