Originaria delle terre d'India venne in Francia e poi in Italia al tempo del Cardinale Albornoz, che per ricompensare i servigi prestatigli dai due fratelli Bettino e Baldin nella lotta contro gli Ardelaffi, le donò molti possedimenti nel contado di Cesena. Un Antonio nel 1379 sedeva nel consiglio nobile di Cesena, dal quale spesse fiate impegato come commissario ed ambasciatore; Didaco e Pietro furono cavalieri di Santo Stefano di Toscana. Questa famiglia si spense nel 1680 colla morte di un Giacomo che lasciò un'unica figlia martita al conte Ottavio Masini. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia dell'Emilia Romagna con residenza nella città di Mondena. Da remoto tempo, comunque non sono pervenute più notizie di suddetta dinastia. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata.
