Procede del linaje de Corcuera, e la casa de Leciñana, del partido judicial de Añana, en Álava, procedió Pedro H. e Corcuera y Alcibar, que nació en Orduña en 1777 y murió en Madrid en 1841. Sirvió en la Marina, distinguiéndose en muchas acciones. Ingresó en la Orden de Carlos III el 23 e Junio de 1830. A la misma familia perteneció Sebastián H. de Corcuera, militar de últimos del siglo XVII y principios del XVIII. Nació en Belorado (Burgos), fue´Caballero de Alcántara y sirvió muchos años en Flandes. de cuyo Consejo de Guerra era individuo, figurando en el sitio de Breda. También fué Maestre de Campo de Puerto del Callao, Capitán General de al Caballería del reino del Perú y Gobernador de Panamá. Pasó después a Filipinas como Capitán General y Gobernador de las islas, conbatiendo con éxito a los piratas mindanaos y las sublevaciones de los sangleyes. Su immediato sucesor, General Fajardo, le tuvo preso durante cinco años en el castillo de Santiago. De regreso en la Península, fué Corregidor de Córdoba y Gobernador de Canarias, donde murío. ...
