Linaje muy antiguo de Aragón, que tuvo su primitivo solar en el lugar de Tramacastilla de Tena, del valle de Tena, partido judicial de Jaca y provincia de Huesca. El doctor Juan Antonio Lope de la C., en sus Discursos sobre los principios del reino de Aragón, encuentra la ascendencia de la familia C. o La C. o Lacasa en los duques de la Vasconia, y deduce que el tronco del solar de Tramacastilla dimanó, probablemente, de Centullo, vizconde de Bearne, a quien dio estados en el reino de Aragón su primo segundo, el rey don Sancho Abarca. Otros autores añaden que al citado vizconde se llamó Centullo Lope y que tuvo sus principales señoríos en el valle de Tena, donde los Casa, como descendientes suyos, poseyeron también desde tiempo inmemorial el señorío de los Puertos de Izas, pues es de tener en cuenta que esos Casa se apellidaron López en un principio, y que a este patronímico del vizconde, su antecesor, unieron luego el apellido "de la C.", para denotar que procedían de la casa principal de Centullo Lope, por lo que continuaron llamándose "López de la C." y después "de la C." solamente, sin el patronímico de su progenitor. Otras líneas de este apellido pasaron a Cataluña, y quedaron allí establecidas. Otras se extendieron por Castilla. ...
