Ermesenda, lhe concederam privilégio, do qual consta cer infanção e hijo dalgo, como o era na terra do Conde, e lhe fez mercê do herdamento de Xafra. Casou-se com D. Carmona, provindo deste matrimónio os Cuevas. João Perez Mogulhém, natural da vila de Cáceres, nas Monthanhas, recebeu-se com ana Carrilho e passou a viver na cidade de Jaen. Desconhece-se a ascendência deste João Perez, mas sabe-se que seu filho, Martim Perez Mogulhém, que foi músico de partido de Jaen, casou por amores e a furto com D. Catarina de la C., filha de D. João Cobo de la C., vinte-e-quatro da cidade de Jaen, lugar que os principais dela costumavam ocupar, e de sua primeira mulher, D. Brites Cobo de Narvais, sua prima. Este Martin Perez, enviuvando, se fez clérigo e veio a ser capelão da sé de Jaen. Seu sogro, D. João Cobo de la C., era filho de Bartolomeu Cobo del Rincõn e de sua segunda mulher, D. Catarina Soares de la C., filha de João de Bulsidano; sua sogra, D. Brites Cobo de Narvais, era filha de João Cobo del Rincón e de sua mulher, D. Brites de Narvais e Guzmán, filha de Afonso de Narbais, cavaleiro da Ordem de Santiago. Não se conhece a ligação destes Cuevas com o tronco da linhagem. Timbre: o dragão do escudo, sainte. ...
