Ottennero la nobiltà di Prato per decreto della deputazione sopra il regolamento della nobiltà e cittadinanza in Toscana del 30 aprile 1764, in virtù del motu proprio del Granduca Cosimo III del 20 novembre 1721, col quale si dichiarava che la dignità di gonfaloniere della città di Prato poteva far prova di vera nobiltà per vestir l'abito di cavaliere pe giustizia nell'Ordine di S. Stefano. La famiglia, a partire dal secolo XVI fu delle primarie di Prato, parecchi suoi membri coprirono la carica di gonfaloniere di quella città e furono ascritti all'Ordine Stefaniano. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale col titolo di Nobile di Prato (mf.).
