Del Archivo General de Indias tomamos la información siguiente: Francisco M., natural de Malpartida, soltero, hijo de Francisco Sánchez M. y de Isabel Sánchez emprendió viaje a Filipinas desde Sevilla para hacerse cargo de la cuantiosa herencia que su hermano le legó a su muerte el 14 septiembre 1577 y que ocupaba el cargo de Oidor en Filipinas, sabemos además que dejó 3 hijos en España y tuvo 6 en América, los cuales reconoció a todos y los dotó con largueza, según consta en su testamento. Por referencias de historiadores de la época y otras averiguadas por Araldis en los archivos registrales de ciudades y otros privados, podríamos afirmar, pero no asegurar, que este escudo u otro muy similar a él, apareció inicialmente desde el siglo XI al XIV, particularmente en la batalla de Uclés, finales del siglo XI, donde fue muerto el infante D. Sancho hijo de Alfonso VI el batallador, rey de Castilla y León y de Doña Zaida, hija de Motamid de Sevilla.
