Nobility crown MeñacaLinaje de Vizcaya. Tiene casa solar en la anteiglesia de Meñaca, del partido judicial de Guernica. Lope García de Salazar se ocupa poco de los M. en sus "Bienandanzas e Fortinas", aunque figuran bastante en los últimos tiempos de la guerra de bandos, luchando en compañía de los Villela, contra sus parientes los de Butrón. Afirman algunos autores que los M. proceden de un Butrón que, al heredar dicha villa, cambió su apellido de Butrón por el de Meñarca. También moraron los M. en la villa de Busturia, del mismo partido judicial de Guernica, y se extendieron por Andalucía. Entroncaron con los Amantegui, formando una línea denominada Amantegui de M.; con los Oña de Vizcaya, donde se apellidaron Oña de M., y con los Berrosonaga y Larrabezúa. De la casa de M. procedió Pedro de M. Gómez, natural de M. y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago en 1652. ...
