A estos M., de la ciudad de Murcia, perteneció Hernando de M., que fué padre de Juan Martínez de M., que casó condoañ Catalina de Mellinas, naciendo de esta unión Alonso de M. y Mellinas, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Bárbara Pérez de Oliver, y procrearon al Licenciado Antonio de M. y Pérez de Oliver, que celebró su enlace con doña María de Montejo, a la que hizo madre de Alonso de M. y Montejo, y Juan de M. y Montejo. Los Reyes Católicos, por Real cédula de 7 de Marzo de 1466, expediente en Medina del Campo, concedieron al Bachiller Fernando de M., de la casa de su apellido en Villena, cierta propiedad en la misma ciudad, por haber contribuído a que la población se sometiera a los Monarcas citados, sustrayéndose al Señorío de Diego Pacheco, Marqués de Villena. De esa misma casa fué Cristóbal de M. y Mota, natural de Villena y Alguacil Mayor de la Inquisición, que en su mujer, doña Isabel de M. y Zuazo, tuvo a Luis de M. y M., natural de Villena, Alguacil Mayor de la Inquisición y Caballero de la Orden de Montesa, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Catalina Muñoz de Orellana y Gasque, de la misma naturaleza.
