Nobility crown MoxTuvo su primitiva casa solar este linaje en Cataluña. Antonio y Pedro M. pasaron a la conquista de la isla de Mallorca y fueron progenitores de los Moix allí establecidos y de los que fundaron casa en la villa de Calaceite, del partido de Valderrobles (Teruel). De los Moix catalanes procedió Arnau Moix, caballero de la Orden de Montesa, que fue padre de Francisca Moix, que en 1474 celebró su enlace con Luis de la Caballería (hijo de Felipe Martín de la Caballería) y procrearon a Martín de la Caballería y Moix caballero de la Orden de Santiago, y Isabel de la Caballería y Moix, mujer de Pedro Abri-Descallar. Con sucesión, que llevó ya otros apellidos. También era natural de Cataluña Miguel Moix, doncel, que en doña Adriana Valentí, tuvo a Juan Moix y Valenti, doncel, que casó con doña Juana Dameto (hija de Alberto Dameto, doncel, y de doña Juana Pax). De ese enlace fue hijo Luis Moix y Dameto, que nació en Mallorca y en 1538 ingresó como caballero en la Orden de San Juan. Ya hemos indicado que los Moix e Mallorca proceden de los hermanos Antonio y Pedro Moix, que pasaron a la conquista de la isla y sirvieron con valor en la reducción de los moros montañeses de Artá y Felanitx. Pedro M. quedó heredado en Mallorca, y Antonio pasó con don Jaime I de Aragón a la conquista de Valencia. Arnaldo Moix, caballero muy principal, fue uno de los que en 1444 pasaron a Nápoles para asistir al célebre desafío de Sureda y Vallseca. ...
