Dice Miguel de Salazar que hay dos casas de este apellido en la villa de Vergara (Guipúzcoa). Una en el Valle de San Juan y la otra en el de Elosúa. Pedro de Salazar afirma que la casa de N. está en la anteiglesia de Elosu, perteneciente a Vergara. Lo más cierto es que las dos casas de N. descienden una de la otra, aunque no se pueda determinar cuál es la más antigua. Otra tercera casa de N., aunque derivada de las de Vergara, hubo en la villa de Legazpia, del partido de Vergara, y se formó así Domingo de N., Señor de la casa solar de N. en el Valle de San Andrés de Elosúa, tuvo este hijo Pedro de N., bautizado en San Juan de Usárraga en 1502, que casó con doña María López de Aguirre, a la que hizo madre de Pedro de N. y Aguirre, llamado el Viejo, Señor de la misma casa, que celebró su enlace con doña María López de Larriñaga, de la casa solar de Larriñaga en Santa María de Oxirondo (Vergara), naciendo de esa unión Andrés de N. y Larriñaga, que casó en Legazpia, el 21 de Mayo de 1612, con doña María de Tejería Urtaza y Olazabarren, Señora del solar de Urtaza-Zarra.
