Nobility crown PalazzoAntica ed assai nobile famiglia siciliana, con residenza principale nella città di Palermo, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia, con un particolare insediamento in territorio calabrese. La chiara nobiltà della famiglia risulta confermata dalla sua presenza nella pregevole opera "Nobiliario di Sicilia di Antonio Mango di Casalgerardo, 1915-1970". Nel secolo decimo sesto, fiorirono il notaio Dario e Messer Mario, mentre nel primo Seicento si distinse il Magnifico Ambrogio (Magnifico, Messer). Un Pietro, veditore generale delle genti di guerra, fu senatore di Palermo negli anni 1630, 1636, 1640, 1644; un Giovanni, con privilegio dato a 8 novembre 1677, esecutoriato a 24 gennaio 1678, ottenne la concessione del titolo di duca. La casata risulta essersi imparentata con altrettante nobilissime famiglie, come i nobilissimi Stranges Bucchi, tra i più ricchi, per censo, di tutta la provincia di Reggio Calabria e di origine normanna.
