Nobility crown PanepintoAncient and illustrious Italian family, originally from Southern Italy, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Tradition has it that it originated in Campania, with the union of a branch of the noble Pinto family from Salerno with one of the Pane, an ancient family of Emilia Romagna. The Pintos have been present in Salerno since the 13th century when a Landuldo, judge of that province, flourished. Then in 1270 a Ugone was a soldier and a "maestro razionale" in Salerno while a Sergio was a portulan "maestro" of the provinces of Principato and "Terra diLavoro "in 1275. The Pane instead found nobles in Faenza where they distinguished themselves as knights and captains of galleys.
