Antica ed assai nobile famiglia di Rosà, ove risulta attestata sin dal XVI secolo, passato, poi, a risiedere in Bassano, ove l'originario cognome Parolin iniziò a comparire anche nella forma Parolini. Al dir di alcuni autori, tal casato discenderebbe dalla nobile famiglia Paroli di Barcone e, pertanto, l'origine di tal cognominizzazione andrebbe ricercata in un diminutivo, utilizzato per indicare un ramo di questa famiglia. In ogni modo, il fregio di nobiltà le pervenne in seguito dell'aggregazione, seguita nell'aprile del 1801, del sotto nominato Francesco, al Consiglio nobile di Bassano.
