Familia noble de Jerez de la Frontera, originaria de la villa de Olorón, en el Béarn (Francia). Fué su fundador en dicha ciudad don Pedro Julián P. y Rodez, que en virtud de Real provisión expedida a su favor por la Reina Gobernadora, el El Pardo, el 26 de Mayo de 1836, fué recibido y empadronado como noble en Jerez. En su expediente de naturalización probó ser natural de la villa de Olorón y que sus antepasados habían estado allí en posesión de la calidad de noble y del señorío de Pellequier, con las demás prerrogativas y escudo de armas. Tuvo varios hijos, cuyos nombres figuran en el padrón de nobles de Jerez de la Frontera, donde nacieron. Uno de ellos, don José P. Labor de Rodez y Lafargue, casó con doña María Elisa Carrera y Aramburu, natural de Cádiz, naciendo de ese enlace doña María P. y Carrera Laborde, esposa de don Juan Gualberto P. y Maestre. La nobleza de ese apellido está probada en la Real Maestranza de Zaragoza como segundo de la esposa del caballero Maestrante don Salvador Rivero y Pastor, doña Maria Josefa Sánchez-Romate y P. (prima hermana de los Permán y P). Dos hijos suyos son asimismo Maestrantes de Zaragoza. También está probada en la Orden de Montesa por el ilustre escritor don José María Pemán y P., hijo de don Juan Gualberto y de su esposa doña María. ...
