Nobility crown PepelinFamille originaire de Bretagne. Elle compte au nombre de ses membres les seigneurs de Cosquer, de Corvez, de Lantrennou, du Cosquérou et de Kervény (paroisse de Plougasnou). Les seigneurs de Coatbihan, de Kerangoué, paroisse de Lanmeur et de Trévern, de même nom et armes, reconnaissent pour auteur: Jean puiné des seigneurs de Corvez, époux en 1543 d'Anne Tribara, ils ont produit un procureur du Roi, au siège de Lanmuer en 1722 qui obtint lettres de vétérance en 1747, mort en 1759, âgé de 98 ans, aïeul d'un abbé de Mores, au diocèse de Langres en 1788, évêque d'Aire, puis de Strasbourg, mort en 1842. Autre branche de cette famille (de Lescoat) fondue dans Damesme, puis Kermenguy et Aubert de Vincelles. Les deux familles de ce nom ont la même origine. A ce nom, on attribue un signe distinctif de noblesse représenté par le blason que l'on reproduit ci-dessous et qui confirme aussi à travers ses emblêmes, au point de vue historique et héraldique, l'assurance d'une valeur remarquable.
